@ Charu: Thanks sis.
Very correct in whtevr u said.But I feel these adages are generic, and gender doesn't play much role.
But of course in India, females have to share that extra burden of managing homes.But wht abt bachelors like me??
We have to manage evrythg from office 2 home.I think even for married men, the responsibility doesn't end the moment they enter home.
The best attitude is to keep working on whtevr one gets,without cribbing;go forward to take the responsibility head-on.My exp says such an attitude pays, whether at work or at personal level.

Good post brother! I liked the second adage. Me being a female it happens a lot of times when you have to do stuff you don't really like to do either at office or at home...For example, you have had a very hectic day at office and when you are back home you have to clean the house too :-( but the "walk on" attitude is good for your life and health too...karma karte raho...the other day my office collegue Sanjay was telling me "there is no other thing worthwhile than work in life and the fact that you should keep yourself busy". I agree with that. This provides stability to your personality and calmness to your mind.

@arpz
The two quotes though point towards karma in general, but hit upon diff. teachings. The one in the post points to doing whtever comes the way, sincerely; while the one by you stresses on not to think of results while doing sthg.
